Remembrance Day 2020

Remembrance Day 2020

This year we are inviting anyone who would like to remember those affected by war to help us create a display at the Sea Mills museum – aka the red phone box on Sea Mills Square and to colour pictures for your own house windows. Sea Mills and Coombe Dingle Together have provided some sheets that can be coloured in or decorated. It’s a great half term activity for children or anyone who would like to take part. You can use your contribution to remember an individual, group or everyone affected by war. Download your colouring sheets sheets from here,…

Farewell to the scarecrows…

Farewell to the scarecrows…

Many thanks to everyone who took part in this year’s Scarecrow Trail, and we hope you had a lot of fun going around ticking off all the brilliant creations you could find. The weather could have been kinder in the first week, but the soggy scarecrows stayed standing in spite of all the torrential rain and gale-force winds. Some even had their own rainwear! Brandon and Owen (6) from Coombe Dingle made the most of the last few days of the school holidays: “We had a great time exploring the neighborhood – we went out on three different days to…

Scarecrows are go!

Scarecrows are go!

Children and adults alike have had great fun making Scarecrows for the Sea Mills and Coombe Dingle Scarecrow trail. Even more have been able to get out to enjoy seeing them. It's been lovely to see so many people with their trail maps, ticking off the scarecrows and planning to see them all. There's a dinosaur, a unicorn, Harry Potter, one standing on his head and other sitting on a roof! Some people have worked with neighbours to make their scarecrows and it's really brought the community together. The trail runs until 6th September 2020 and there are scarecrows at…
