Despite our original plans to launch the community plan at a public meeting at the Methodist Church today, we are nonetheless delighted to launch the Community Plan for Sea Mills and Coombe Dingle on this website today. The Community Plan sets out a long-term vision for our area, based upon input from local residents. Window Wanderland

Sea Mills and Coombe Dingle were lit up on 29 February and 1 March 2020 as part of a wonderful Window Wanderland trail. Local residents designed their own imaginative window installations for people to stroll around the area and enjoy a free after-dark Art Gallery.  This is an annual event and we hope that even more people will take part next year. Funding was recently secured from Bristol City Council to install three new community noticeboards in our area. One is by the Library, one on the Square in Sea Mills and the third one is about to be relocated by the shops on Westbury Lane. Further funding has been applied for for another two noticeboards – one by Sea Mills Primary School and another in Coombe Dingle – to give wider coverage across the area. Addison’s Oak in Sea Mills was nominated for the Woodland Trust’s Tree of the Year 2019. Many thanks to everyone who voted for our Oak… unfortunately, the tree didn’t win but did come in at a very respectable fourth place.
